To register your wish (everyone)

This is the statewide registry and education group. Orientation is not a barrier to registering.

Organ recovery groups (called OPOs)

These groups work with hospitals after death. Florida has regional ones, including:

For organs, being gay or lesbian is not a ban. Teams still do medical screening. That is true for every donor.

Eyes and tissue

Eye and tissue banks follow federal safety rules. Screening can be stricter than for organs. Ask the bank what they ask today. Gay and lesbian people can still pursue tissue donation; the question is medical screening, not a Florida ban based on orientation.
